Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale a high-performance engineering organization in a tech-forward company. Organization currently consists of:
    • Functional team leads across Backend, Web, Mobile, and QA
    • Cross-functional workflow pods (3) and a support/escalation pod
    • Infrastructure & Data engineers across DevOps, Cloud, and Data pipelines
  • Partner with Product and Design teams to align engineering initiatives with business priorities
  • Drive recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of top engineering talent, including ICs and future managers
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Guide technical decisions around architecture, scalability, and system design across a hybrid of mobile, web, and backend platforms
  • Establish and refine engineering processes including release pipelines, QA automation, and observability

Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Engineering experience, 3+ in leadership (e.g. Head, Director, Sr. Manager of Engineering)
  • Proven success in building and scaling cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience managing teams across web, mobile (Flutter preferred), backend (.NET), and QA
  • Deep understanding of Agile workflows, team structures, and scaling engineering orgs
  • Passion for mentorship at all levels
  • Strong communication and alignment skills with product/design leadership
Nice to Have
  • SaaS or B2B product experience
  • Experience leading teams through a modernization or migration effort (e.g., MVC to React)
  • Exposure to real-time systems, maps/geolocation, or insurance-related tech stacks
