Job Title: Teradata Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: Full Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Teradata Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL queries and ETL processes in a Teradata environment. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, performance tuning, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures in Teradata.
  • Design and implement ETL workflows to support data integration and transformation processes.
  • Optimize existing queries and jobs to improve system performance and reduce run times.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements.
  • Perform data profiling, data validation, and quality checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data models, ETL processes, and system configurations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Teradata SQL development.
  • Strong understanding of Teradata architecture and utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments and using Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Exposure to Unix/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys).
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
