Boomi Migration Specialist (Boomi to Microsoft)
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1 Year

We seek an experienced Integration Engineer to lead our middleware migration initiative from Boomi to Microsoft's integration stack. This role ensures seamless business continuity while transitioning our integration infrastructure to a more cohesive and scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing Boomi integration processes, document their functionality, data flows, and business requirements to facilitate successful migration
Architect and implement migration solutions from Boomi to Microsoft integration technologies (Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Service Bus)
Design scalable and robust integration workflows using Microsoft Azure services that connect our core business systems, including JDEdwards, Salesforce, SQL databases, custom .NET applications, Coupa, Blackline, and Snowflake
Develop technical design documentation based on functional specifications and business requirements
Implement proper error handling, logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure the reliable operation of integration processes
Optimize integration solutions for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration requirements meet business needs
Create comprehensive documentation for all migrated integrations, including architecture diagrams, data mapping documents, and operational runbooks
Manage and optimize licensing costs across integration platforms
Establish governance frameworks and best practices for the new Microsoft integration stack
Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize business disruption during and after migration

Required Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations solutions
Extensive hands-on experience with Dell Boomi platform, including process development, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure integration services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus
Experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric for data integration and analytics
Demonstrable expertise in migrating integration workflows between platforms
Strong understanding of API design (REST/SOAP), message queuing, and enterprise integration patterns
Proficiency in data transformation, mapping, and validation techniques
Experience with SQL databases and query optimization
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for integration solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Dell Boomi certification
Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Developer, Data Engineer, or Solutions Architect)
Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation
Previous experience migrating from one integration platform to another
Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly JDEdwards
Experience integrating with Salesforce, Coupa, Blackline, or Snowflake
Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements

Technical Skills:
Integration Platforms: Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Azure Service Bus
Programming: .NET/C#, JavaScript/JSON, XML, PowerShell, SQL
Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (specifically PaaS services)
API Technologies: REST, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger
Source Control: Git, Azure DevOps
Enterprise Applications: Experience with JDEdwards, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise applications
Security: OAuth, API key management, encryption, secure data handling practices

Additional Requirements:
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with cost optimization and licensing strategies for enterprise software
Ability to create detailed project plans and migration roadmaps
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adaptable and able to quickly learn new technologies and business domains
