Job Details

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer - III to join a financial services company in San Francisco, CA. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.

Pay: $90.00 - $110.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Schedule: Hybrid

Description:

  • Working with the development teams and DevOps teams to create and implement STAR's
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Work with National IT to create and implement the tooling required for Continuous Delivery
  • Ensure our systems and tooling are future proof and can accommodate growth and continually changing requirements
  • Participate in design and planning sessions to ensure changes to tooling or services are accounted for
  • Design and implement process improvements
  • Coach and mentor others on Platform Engineering and DevOps best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering,
  • Systems Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in building and supporting enterprise level systems as a platform engineer or equivalent in a production environment
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and using the tools and services required for DevOps best practices. This includes but not limited to:
  • Linux (RHEL)
  • Application services (WebSphere, Tomcat, Spring Boot)
  • Source code control systems (Subversion, Git variants)
  • Build systems (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI)
  • Static analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify)
  • Containerization tools (Docker, Podman)
  • Orchestration and environment management tools (Puppet, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog)
  • Programming or scripting languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, Bash)
  • Automated testing tools (Selenium, TestComplete)
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS services - building, deploying, and monitoring
  • using AWS tools and services such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CloudWatch, AWS
  • CloudFormation, and AWS X-Ray
  • Thorough understanding of APIs, gateways, orchestrators, databases, networking,
  • monitoring, configuration management and security best practices for a production
  • environment
