Primary Talent Partners has an open 12 month W2 contract with a large utilities client of ours in the Charlotte, NC area.

Pay Range: $62.00 to $68.00 per hour (No PTO, benefits, etc but self funded ACA-compliant healthcare plan available to opt-in to)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the telecom aspects of various projects within our organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing telecom in transmission, generation, real estate, and regional IT enterprise projects, with a focus on smaller-scope initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage approximately sixty open projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient progression and timely completion.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all business communications using JIRA.
- Collaborate closely with internal telecom and field teams to schedule and execute work within agreed-upon business deadlines.
- Provide concise weekly updates to stakeholders, detailing work status for the upcoming two to four weeks.
- Occasionally attend on-site customer kickoff meetings within the Florida territory (specific region to be determined).
- Develop a thorough understanding of the environment and the telecom products provided to internal business customers.
- Work in close partnership with two product owners to ensure project success, address questions, and overcome challenges.
- Substantial project management experience (beyond entry-level)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to attend in-office staff meetings every Tuesday morning
- Commitment to work in the office three days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday required) -
- Proficiency in managing and reporting on budgets for all assigned projects
- Valid driver's license
- Background in telecommunications or IT industry
- Proficiency in the following software applications:
- Microsoft Office suite (including Outlook and Teams)
- JIRA
- Primavera / P6
- Business Objects
- Extensive experience in conducting and participating in meetings, with strong note-taking abilities
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with the following telecommunications disciplines is advantageous:
- Data networking (switches/routers)
- Transport equipment (Ciena / SEL ICON)
- Radio Frequency (RF) technologies (Cambium and point-to-point microwave)
- Power systems (DC power -48vdc and 130vdc)
- Fiber optics (construction and single-mode terminations)
