Job Title:- DevOps Engineer with media or video environment Experience
Location:- Atlanta, GA Local Only Hybrid Role
Duration:-6 months contract
Mode of Interview:-Video
Serve as a DevOps Engineer supporting enterprise-scale video delivery systems focused on quality, automation, and stream reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ad insertion accuracy, optimal video performance, and automated deployment across IP/QAM infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role with a blend of QA, monitoring, and cloud DevOps responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and stream validation
- Manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform and Azure environments
- Automate operational workflows and optimize video stream performance
- Execute smoke testing, new stream onboarding, and routine maintenance
- Investigate and resolve operational support tool issues and incidents
- Validate ad insertion using SCTE-35 triggers and MPEG2/MPEG4 formats
- Perform QA on content management systems and video monitoring platforms
- Use Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for stream monitoring and alerting
- Provide on-call support during high-impact video operations or maintenance windows
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4 6 years of DevOps or QA engineering experience in media or video environments
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and Kubernetes-based deployments
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with SCTE-35, MPEG2/4, IP/QAM video delivery systems
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack for system monitoring
- Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and Agile operations
