  • Build dashboards/views/reports for month-to-month costs, cost per BU/app/env, and rightsizing/reclamation savings.
  • Validate results vs. default model, document assumptions, and present findings; define an iteration backlog.

Deliverables:

  • Tailored vROps cost model + parameter/assumption sheet.
  • Custom Group & tagging strategy/runbook.
  • Dashboards/reports (showback) for finance/executive audiences.
  • Backlog for follow-up iterations and accuracy improvements.

Required:

  • 5+ yrs with VMware Aria Operations (vROps) focusing on cost modeling/showback/chargeback, Custom Groups, policies, views, reports.
  • Proven ability to translate finance inputs (price books, allocation/depreciation rules) into vROps cost drivers.
  • Solid grasp of vSphere/vCenter/vSAN/NSX inventories; rightsizing/reclamation; capacity planning.
  • Client-facing presentation and communication skills: able to run discovery workshops and produce clear documentation.
  • Ability to attend stakeholder meetings during core business hours in US Central time-zone

Desired:

  • Automation: vRO/vRA, PowerCLI, REST APIs; alert-based actions.
  • ITFM/FinOps (Apptio/CloudHealth) and ServiceNow reporting exposure.
  • Financial services experience; CMDB/data-quality remediation.
  • VCP-DCV, VCAP, Aria Operations badges
