Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience as a US immigration paralegal to join our team as an HR Coordinator. This unique dual-role position requires expertise in immigration law processes and the ability to manage human resources functions effectively. The ideal candidate will support immigration case management while also coordinating HR activities to ensure smooth operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Immigration Paralegal Duties:
Prepare and process immigration applications including permanent residency, visas, citizenship, and related petitions.
Maintain and update immigration case files and databases.
Communicate with clients regarding case progress and documentation requirements.
Collaborate with immigration attorneys and legal staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct legal research and assist in preparing immigration filings and reports.
Ensure all deadlines and government submission requirements are met.
HR Coordinator Duties:
Assist in recruitment processes including screening candidates and scheduling interviews.
Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires.
Maintain employee records and HR databases accurately.
Support payroll processing and benefits administration.
Coordinate employee training sessions and company-wide HR initiatives.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and benefits.
Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
Support HR compliance and reporting, working closely with HR leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
Strong knowledge of US immigration laws, visa categories, and application procedures.
Experience with immigration case management software (e.g., LawLogix, immigration) preferred.
Proven experience or strong interest in human resources coordination and administration.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
