TEKsystems is seeking 5 temporary desktop support technicians for a short term project in Anchorage.
This is a 5 week project on-site in Anchorage, AK.
Candidates must have their own reliable transportation.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
We are seeking detail-oriented and technically skilled Desktop Technicians to support a large-scale office relocation. This temporary assignment involves setting up new workstations, inventorying IT equipment, imaging computers, and ensuring all desktop hardware and software is properly configured for end users.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

We are seeking detail-oriented and technically skilled Desktop Technicians to support a large-scale office relocation. This temporary assignment involves setting up new workstations, inventorying IT equipment, imaging computers, and ensuring all desktop hardware and software is properly configured for end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workstation Setup: Unpack, assemble, and connect desktop computers, monitors, peripherals, and telephony equipment at new workstations.
- Inventory Management: Tag, track, and document all IT assets including computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.
- Computer Imaging: Deploy standardized operating system images to desktop and laptop computers using approved imaging tools and procedures.
- Hardware Configuration: Ensure all devices are properly connected and functioning, including network connectivity, printers, and docking stations.
- Software Installation: Install and configure required applications and ensure compliance with company IT standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic hardware and software issues during setup.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT staff, facilities teams, and end users to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed setups, asset locations, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in desktop support or IT field preferred.
- Familiarity with imaging tools
- Basic understanding of networking and computer hardware.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Conditions:
- On-site work required during office move period.
- Physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
