Description:
Sr. Systems Engineer - Summary

The Sr. Systems Engineer collaborates with the Design and Controls Engineering teams to develop innovative Unmanned Systems for defense and commercial use. This role spans the full development lifecycle-from requirements definition to testing-and demands a multidisciplinary approach involving engineering, computer science, and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and trace system requirements throughout development
  • Provide weekly progress updates with requirements burn down
  • Allocate requirements to subsystems and coordinate engineering efforts
  • Evaluate system performance and guide design decisions
  • Support flight test planning and data acquisition
  • Contribute to simulation and model development
  • Interpret customer specifications and resolve design issues
  • Influence product architecture and lead complex system analysis
  • May lead teams and coordinate activities


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • 8-12 years in systems engineering (preferably aerospace)
  • Proficient in C/C++, Matlab, and office productivity tools
  • Experience in requirements management, system performance evaluation, and flight test planning
  • Familiarity with electronics and image analysis systems
  • Skilled in writing system safety protocols


Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree
  • Experience with product lifecycle from concept to production
  • Exposure to Guidance Navigation and Control, Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of Simulink, Ansys, SolidWorks
  • Strong initiative, ownership, and teamwork
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
