Sr. Systems Engineer - Summary
The Sr. Systems Engineer collaborates with the Design and Controls Engineering teams to develop innovative Unmanned Systems for defense and commercial use. This role spans the full development lifecycle-from requirements definition to testing-and demands a multidisciplinary approach involving engineering, computer science, and mathematics.

Sr. Systems Engineer - Summary
The Sr. Systems Engineer collaborates with the Design and Controls Engineering teams to develop innovative Unmanned Systems for defense and commercial use. This role spans the full development lifecycle-from requirements definition to testing-and demands a multidisciplinary approach involving engineering, computer science, and mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and trace system requirements throughout development
- Provide weekly progress updates with requirements burn down
- Allocate requirements to subsystems and coordinate engineering efforts
- Evaluate system performance and guide design decisions
- Support flight test planning and data acquisition
- Contribute to simulation and model development
- Interpret customer specifications and resolve design issues
- Influence product architecture and lead complex system analysis
- May lead teams and coordinate activities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or equivalent)
- 8-12 years in systems engineering (preferably aerospace)
- Proficient in C/C++, Matlab, and office productivity tools
- Experience in requirements management, system performance evaluation, and flight test planning
- Familiarity with electronics and image analysis systems
- Skilled in writing system safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- Experience with product lifecycle from concept to production
- Exposure to Guidance Navigation and Control, Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Knowledge of Simulink, Ansys, SolidWorks
- Strong initiative, ownership, and teamwork
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
