Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Columbus, Ohio
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite at the State Office Tower in downtown Columbus.
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Mode of Interview: Webcam (Microsoft Teams).

Essential Expertise and Scope of Work

The Senior .NET Developer will apply advanced technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and deep expertise in software development principles to deliver robust and integrated solutions for the department.

1. Advanced .NET Development & Technical Leadership (10+ Years Required)

  • Core Expertise: 10+ years of experience as a .NET Developer (Required).
  • Hands-on Design & Code: Proven track record of hands-on technical design and code work within large, complex systems (Required).
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Demonstrated technical expertise in integrating a variety of diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies (Required).
  • SDLC Mastery: Deep knowledge of software development principles and methods for design, development, testing (including standard software validation tools), and implementation of new or modified software.
  • Technical Advice: Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.

2. Analytical, Planning, and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Troubleshooting: Exceptional skill in troubleshooting, complex problem solving, and software analysis and evaluation.
  • Requirements Analysis: Proven ability to identify and specify business requirements, and work experience in developing project plans with project managers or defining tasks.
  • Technical Communication: Proven ability to present complex technical constructs to business and non-technical users.
  • Quality Assurance: Skill for assuring quality, and applying standard back-up and recovery procedures.

3. Systems Knowledge and Abilities

  • Technologies: Hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies and knowledge of commonly used query language (e.g., SQL).
  • IT Lifecycle: Knowledge of IT lifecycle concepts, requirements analysis principles, and systems performance management.
  • Continuous Learning: Ability to stay abreast of current technologies in the area of IT assigned.
