Job Details

We are seeking to hire an PMO Lead to join our team working on new implementations / conversions of State-level Medicare / Medicaid Systems. This role is 100% remote.

This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).

An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

Your role in our mission

  • Lead a centralized management structure for all project management functions
  • Review project staffing models and proactively work with leadership to staff their projects.
  • Oversee and lead a centralized management structure for all project management functions, including:
    • Program Deliverables and Milestones - identify, track, and manage
    • Project work plan ensure it is developed, maintained and that the critical path is met.
    • Engagement team s time tracking, work assignments, and status reporting
    • Scope and Change Control management
    • Contract requirements manage requirement changes, traceability to deliverables, RAID items, test cases and defects.
    • Risk, Issue, Action, Assumption, Decision log management
    • Stakeholder communications - manage to gain concurrence, approval, and consensus as needed for project management deliverables and artifacts.
    • Mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
    • Implement Project Management Framework that aligns to company standards

What we're looking for (minimum qualifications)

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a PMO Lead, preferably experienced in Medicaid/Medicare and Healthcare
  • Minimum 6 years or more experience managing complex implementations of software technology projects, programs or initiatives through a full project management life cycle
  • CAPM certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage work in remote environment
  • Convey acknowledge of project management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches - exude credibility as a subject matter expert
  • Deep understanding of multiple projects and relationships between projects
  • Expert knowledge of methods and techniques involved in project management initiatives
  • Complete mastery of standard applications and project specific software
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 PM course required

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on process improvement, organizational change management, project management and other processes relative to the business
  • Project management includes estimating, scheduling, costing, planning, and issue/risk management
  • Able to learn new software with little to no instruction within a short timeframe and instruct others on its functionality
  • Proactively assess projects for potential problem areas
  • Investigate, develop, and evaluate solutions to a wide range of very complex problems spanning across multiple projects
  • Establish processes, procedures, and tools to increase efficiency
  • Effectively manage and resolve very complex project issues and proactively plan to prevent such issues
  • Projects may have extensive cross functional impact and team organization
