Lead Performance Test Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Performance Test Engineer with 12 years of experience to own performance testing strategy and execution for large scale B2B and B2C web platforms in the automotive domain. This role requires strong hands on performance testing expertise along with the ability to lead teams and engage directly with customer stakeholders.

What you will do

  • Define and own the overall performance testing strategy across programs
  • Lead and mentor a team of performance test engineers
  • Act as the primary performance testing point of contact for customer stakeholders
  • Translate business and non functional requirements into clear performance goals
  • Drive hands on performance test design and scripting using k6 with JavaScript
  • Review test results and guide teams on performance improvements
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and DevOps teams to resolve bottlenecks

What we are looking for

  • 12 years of experience in performance testing with strong hands on expertise
  • Proven experience in a Lead or Manager role managing performance testing teams
  • Strong hands on experience scripting performance tests using k6 and JavaScript
  • Deep understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and metrics
  • Experience defining performance strategies for complex enterprise systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior customer and engineering stakeholders

Tool stack

  • Performance Testing: k6 with JavaScript is mandatory
  • API Testing: Postman, Java with Rest Assured
  • Visualization and Reporting: Grafana
