Role Description

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated bilingual Group Travel Agent with strong sales acumen, and a proven track record of success. As a Group Travel Agent at Fareportal, you will be working in our growing Group Travel Department.

Our Group Travel Agents are responsible for providing group clients with some of the best airline, hotel, and vacation package deals in the industry, while delivering the highest level of customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide our group clients with the best group airfare rates verbally and in writing.
  • Offer prompt, accurate and courteous service to group clients.
  • Assist group clients with air, cars, and hotel reservations.
  • Contact group travel desk or Sales Acct Mangers at the airlines and follow up by email, phone or online to negotiate and secure space for your clients.
  • Provide support and offer solutions to our group client s questions, concerns, changes, cancelation, waivers, refunds, billing clarifications with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Secure new group client sales and retain existing clients through exceptional customer care.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of group or corporate travel agency/airline or hotel experience.
  • Prior inbound and outbound call center customer care experience for group clients or internal corporate clients.
  • Advanced GDS experience (SABRE and/or Amadeus).
  • Savvy Internet research skills for travel related purposes.
  • Familiar understanding of air, cars, and hotel group contracts.
  • Basic ticketing knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Familiar with airline NDC tools for group travel agents.
  • Bilingual language skills: ability to read, write and understand legal contracts, negotiate on behalf of Fareportal, and be able to offer competitive group products to our clients in both English and Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
