Job Title: Security Systems Technician
Location: Totowa, NJ
Employment Type: Contract to hire
Experience Level: Mid-Level (2-3 Years of experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7 am - 4 pm
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing a variety of security systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. This will be in commercial environments - new construction. It will be apartments, businesses, law firms, financial institutions, etc. This involves running cable and installing/mounting devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and service IP-based CCTV systems
- Install and service card access control systems
- Install and service burglar and fire alarm systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
- Perform cable running and terminations
- Install electronic door and lock hardware
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, professional appearance
- Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide solutions
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in security system installation and service
- Solid understanding of construction practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision
- Self-motivated and customer-focused
Preferred Skills:
- Additional certifications in security systems
- Experience with advanced access control technologies
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
