Job#: 2091372
Job Description:
1 year contract
About This Role
We are seeking several experienced Network engineers with excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.
Project Scope
Asia Cloud-Onramp
The Perimeter OnRamp network aims to establish a versatile service provider network that links the DMZ infrastructure in the main data centres to cloud and other third-party networks in colo sites. By establishing carrier connectivity between our main data centres and the colo sites, it eliminates the long lead times associated with carriers in the cloud provisioning process. This initiative is designed to shorten the time required to provision new cloud connections, whether to boost capacity for existing cloud providers or to establish connectivity with new ones.
This project is centered on developing our cloud-onramp infrastructure within the Asia Region.
Daily activities and responsibilities include:
Network Infrastructure Design and Planning - Develop detailed technical specifications, network topology diagrams, and implementation plans for standardized DMZ, Colo and DC deployments.
Project Execution and Technical Implementation - Coordinate the hands-on installation with data center team. Manage the configuration and deployment of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Coordinate with vendors, manage equipment installation through our global data center team, oversee cabling infrastructure, and ensure all implementations follow established change management procedures and minimize business disruption.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management - Work closely with senior network leads, project managers and team members to ensure project deliverables meet technical and business objectives. Facilitate technical discussions, provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and serve as the primary technical contact for your allocated environment build throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Testing, Validation, and Quality Assurance - Execute comprehensive test plans, perform post- implementation validation, and execute rollback procedures when necessary. This includes network performance testing, and site resilience testing, ensuring all systems meet SLA requirements before production handover.
Documentation, Knowledge Transfer, and Operational Handoff - Create detailed technical documentation including network diagrams, configuration templates and operational procedures. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations teams ensuring a smooth transition from project implementation to ongoing network operations and maintenance.
