IDMS Data Integration Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IDMS Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and support enterprise-level data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IDMS (Integrated Database Management System) and experience working with modern ETL/data integration tools, ensuring seamless data movement, transformation, and governance across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data integration solutions leveraging IDMS and related technologies.

  • Develop ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into enterprise data warehouses and operational systems.

  • Optimize IDMS database performance, ensuring scalability, reliability, and availability of data assets.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, and performance tuning for integration pipelines.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data integration and ETL issues in a timely manner.

  • Support data migration, modernization, and conversion efforts from IDMS to other relational databases or cloud platforms.

  • Maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and integration standards.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with IDMS (Integrated Database Management System) in data integration and application development.

  • Proficiency in ETL tools (Informatica, IDMC, DataStage, Talend, or equivalent).

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, COBOL, JCL, and mainframe environments.

  • Knowledge of data migration strategies from legacy systems to relational/cloud databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, Azure).

  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
