Job Description:
Client is expanding its instructional technology program by deploying Chromebooks to students and staff.
This transition from traditional Windows-based devices to Chromebooks aims to enhance digital learning and collaboration across classrooms.
A Google Admin Console environment is already provisioned and integrated with Microsoft Entra ID as the identity platform. Currently, only employee accounts are synchronized.
To support equitable access and a unified identity system, student accounts must also be integrated.

Optimize the Google Admin Console for instructional and operational use.
Extend Entra ID synchronization to include all student accounts.
Configure organizational units (OUs), device policies, and administrative roles.
Collect requirements from key stakeholders.
Integrate the organization's existing content filtering solution (e.g., GoGuardian, Blocksi) for compliance with student safety regulations.
Support Chromebook enrollment, deployment, and classroom readiness.
Provide IT staff training on administration and management.
Deliver complete documentation of all configurations, integrations, and policies.

Conduct stakeholder meetings (administrators, teachers, IT staff, compliance officers).
Collect requirements on device restrictions, classroom use, testing/assessment, experience, and compliance needs.
Understand the unique challenges of schools for incarcerated youth (e.g. juvenile halls)

B. Google Admin Console Review & Configuration
Review and refine existing Google Admin Console configuration.
Create and configure OUs (e.g., Students, Teachers, Admins, Grade Levels).
Validate and strengthen security, privacy, and compliance settings (FERPA, CIPA, COPPA).
Refine role-based administrative privileges.

C. Chromebook Enrollment and Management
Recommend and configure Chrome device policies, updates, and extensions.
Support enrollment of Chromebooks into the Google Admin Console.
Apply differentiated device policies (student vs. staff).
Configure auto-updates, kiosk mode, and testing apps if required.

D. User & Identity Management (Entra ID Integration)
Provide the plan and work with the LACOE Identity Management Administration to extend Entra ID sync to include student accounts, including:
Define account structures, naming conventions, and provisioning rules.
Validate OU placement and group membership for staff and students.
Confirm SSO configuration and refine authentication flows.

E. Content Filtering & Compliance
Integrate the organization's existing content filtering solution such as GoGuardian, Blocksi, or a comparable platform, to meet CIPA compliance requirements.
Recommend changes to filtering policies appropriate for grade levels and user roles, as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Three or more (3+) years of experience actively working in the Google Workspace Administration Console, including management of ChromeOS devices.
Two (2) completed enterprise Google ChromeOS implementation or configuration projects.
Associate Google Workspace Administrator or similar certification, preferred.
