Job Details

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle 11g and 12c environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and supporting development teams across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration activities

  • Manage and support Oracle Database 11g and 12c

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and physical structure

  • Conduct database performance monitoring, analysis, and tuning

  • Handle database planning, scaling, and capacity management

  • Perform database design, data modeling, index creation, and optimization

  • Configure and manage:

    • Oracle Data Guard

    • Oracle Enterprise Manager

    • Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

    • Oracle ACFS

    • Oracle GoldenGate

  • Perform and configure RMAN backup and recovery

  • Support software development life cycle (SDLC) activities

  • Collaborate closely with development and application teams

  • Work within ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA operational models

  • Provide production support and participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution

Required Skills (Ranked):

  1. Oracle Database Administration (7+ years)

  2. Oracle 11g and 12c

  3. RMAN Backup and Recovery

  4. Oracle GoldenGate

  5. Oracle RAC and Oracle Installations

  6. Oracle Data Guard, ASM, ACFS

  7. Performance tuning and database optimization

  8. Experience working with development teams

  9. Exposure to ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps

  10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in a technical or business-related field

  • 7+ years of experience in Development or Service Administration roles

  • Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale Oracle databases

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in managed services environments

  • Exposure to DevOps or automation tools

  • Production support experience in 24x7 environments
