Job Details
The Network Engineer II will be responsible for designing and implementing network upgrades, provisioning data center network equipment, and solving network-related issues. This role requires a strong foundation in Python scripting, Linux/Unix systems, and network engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to determine network requirements
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
- Design and operate equipment configuration prototypes (hardware/software)
- Define specific hardware/software requirements (platforms, interfaces, bandwidths)
- Develop and implement solutions for network problems
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Linux/Unix, and Python
- Basic understanding of computer hardware related to data storage
- Familiarity with software tools such as:
- Configuration management software
- Desktop communications software
- Operating system software
- Internet directory services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data center engineering
- Prior experience in large-scale tech environments
