Job Details

Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Full Stack Developers in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with other product team members (UX, architects, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions.
  • Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases to do "destructive testing" to ensure adequate resiliency in production.
  • Identify unsecured code areas and implement fixes as they are discovered with or without tooling. Identify, implement, and share technical solutions that can be used across the portfolio.
  • Identify product enhancements to create a better experience for the end users.
  • Research and/or investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions. Provide application support for software running in production.
  • Proactively review the performance and capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing.
  • Triage high priority issues and outages as they arise.
  • Participate in learning activities around agile software development and development core practices.
  • Work with Java and Spring Boot applications, which involve using Spring, REST Services, Mybatis, and Oracle. Actively work on Java MQ Applications.
  • Work with applications using a tech stack that includes IBM MQ's, JMS, Oracle, Java, Mybatis, and AWS.
  • Work on applications that involve setting up CNTL M jobs and writing batch jobs.
  • Telecommuting permitted 2 to 3 days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in software development. In the alternative, will accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Java and Spring Boot Development;
  • REST Services and Mybatis to build robust and efficient software solutions;
  • IBM MQs and JMS to integrate diverse applications and business data across multiple platforms;
  • Oracle Database Management for managing and manipulating the data used in applications; and
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) for managing and deploying applications on the cloud.
