Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Data Platforms
An elite high frequency trading firm is seeking a senior-level engineer with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure to lead the design, governance, and management of modern data platforms. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on building scalable, secure environments.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Snowflake and at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Google Cloud Platform required; Azure is optional). This role is central to shaping how data is stored, accessed, and governed across the organization, with a strong emphasis on platform reliability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and manage cloud-based data platforms with a focus on infrastructure, scalability, and security
* Lead governance efforts around access control, cost optimization, and secure data sharing
* Serve as the primary expert on Snowflake and multi-cloud infrastructure
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure platform consistency and reliability
* Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities
* Support multi-tenant environments and regulated data workflows
What We're Looking For
* Senior-level experience in cloud infrastructure across AWS or Google Cloud Platform (Snowflake expertise is a must)
* Strong background in platform architecture, governance, and operations.
* Ability to design and implement secure, scalable systems across cloud environments
* Familiarity with modern data workflows and infrastructure-as-code practices
* Pragmatic, collaborative mindset with a focus on enabling teams through well-architected solutions
This role must sit out of the firms Chicago or NYC office working on site 3 days per week.
