Job Title: Change Manager
Location: Remote
Travel: Some travel to San Antonio, TX
Client Type: Oil & Gas
Contract Duration: 12 months - likely to extend
Rate:$80-110/hr. (based on experience)
BACKGROUND AND SERVICES:
The Performance Excellence (PE) team in the Client's Information Technology (IT) organization provides centralized services for the department including Strategy, Portfolio, Product Delivery (waterfall & agile methodologies), Operating Model, and Performance Management. For each of these services, effective change management is critical to successfully implementing changes and maintaining consistent operations across the whole of the IT organization. They are looking for a change manager with at least 7+ years of technology and/or process improvement change experience.
Consultant will provide a resource who will serve as a Change Manager who will develop and implement practical deliverables such as change management plans, impact assessments, communications plans, training plans, and communications as needed. They will advise and support IT teams in learning and applying change management framework and practices, as well as leading teams through regular and customized change management activities, with the goal of helping the adoption of new ways of working, while increasing the knowledge and awareness of PE staff in change management.
Scope
Lead and deliver Change management project deliverables as required and directed by the Client.
Responsibilities
  • Lead PE team with all aspects of change management and overall culture change.
  • Work with impacted users to execute OCM plans and deliverables
Change Management Strategy
  • Perform detailed stakeholder analysis and change impact assessment, including roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and track metrics for success (readiness, sponsorship, effectiveness, adoption, etc.)
  • Create a change management process and implement the tools to help all the organizations personnel quickly adopt any changes that take place due to a new project
  • Identify any resistance to proposed changes and manage it accordingly
  • Facilitation of workshops (e.g. focus groups, conceptual design, process/role mapping)

Communications
  • Perform organizational change assessment
  • Develop a communication strategy / plan leveraging multiple communication vehicles with feedback mechanisms in place
  • Messaging - creating decks and communications, helping craft messaging to all levels
  • Set communication milestones and sequencing
  • Develop and track metrics for success (channels identified, hit rate, etc.)
  • Work with Corporate Communications as required for alignment on all required communication efforts

Training
  • Perform training needs assessment
  • Determine training strategy: channels, frequency, and feedback mechanisms
  • Support of curriculum creation, content curation and delivery assistance
  • Facilitation / delivery of training

Preferred Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' recent experience working with Change Management initiatives
  • 7+ years of technology and/or process improvement change experience
  • Certifications: Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Oil & Gas industry experience
