Job Description:
The client is seeking a Developer to build and enhance data services for use in enterprise integration scenarios. This position will be expected to actively participate in the technical design and development of these services in the form of APIs, data pipelines, etc. This position will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting integration solutions to meet the business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leverages integration knowledge to develop efficient data movement across all solutions.
- Enables new APIs and enhances and configures existing APIs.
- Writes code in lower-level (C#, .NET, SQL, SSIS,) programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure.
- Writes diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults to indicate that program is not functioning properly or meeting the technical/functional requirements.
- Proactively monitors the system/integrations for long running queries/jobs, identify bottle necks and propose solutions to optimize queries/jobs.
- Creates technical documentation of systems, software programs, and code to be leveraged for audit purposes and document solution.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Development Engineer experience Tools (Visual Studio, VS Code, SSIS), Frameworks (.NET/C#, etc.) and best practices
- 3+ years of integration experience using ETL tools.
- 3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer using SQL
- Good understanding of SQL databases including querying, creating tables, and the basics of performance tuning such as creating indexes.
- Experience with RESTful API design concepts with a strong preference for resource-centric design.
- Understanding of the authentication and authorization considerations related to data and integration (i.e. oAuth, JWT, least-privilege, etc.)
- Strong understanding of integration types, frequency, and consistency considerations (i.e. real-time, near-real time, batch, eventual consistency, file-based, event-based, ETL/ELT, API, sFTP, etc.)
- 1-3 years of SDLC and CI/CD experience Tools, Frameworks, and best practices
- 1-3 years of MS Azure (strongly preferred) or other cloud computing provider experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
