Job Details
Title: AWS Administrator
Location: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite @ New Orleans, LA or The Woodlands, TX or West Monroe, LA)
Duration: Full Time/Long Term
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Administrator with strong experience in AWS administration, either in commercial or government clouds. This role requires the candidate to have solid experience in designing and securing cloud-based infrastructure, along with hands-on expertise in integrating third-party systems, automating processes, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures using AWS solutions.
- Scan and install patches on EC2 servers.
- Configure and manage S3 storage solutions, ensuring secure access and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and deploy cloud resources, including tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Support and configure IAM Identity Center for identity and access management across the cloud environment.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Glue ETL.
- Create and manage cloud infrastructures using AWS ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and other related services.
- Support and manage AWS EMR Serverless for big data processing and analytics.
- Work with AWS BedRock to implement AI and ML solutions in the cloud.
- Implement AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Landing Zone Accelerator for centralized governance and resource management.
- Configure and manage AWS Security Hub to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats.
- Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for cloud services.
- Manage and support Iceberg, RedShift, and Snowflake on AWS.
- Administer AWS Secrets Manager and KMS (Key Management Service) for secure handling of sensitive data.
- Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure deployment of solutions.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience working as an AWS Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3 buckets, Lambda, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Glue/Glue ETL, ECS, EMR Serverless, BedRock, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Security Hub, Logging & Alerting, Landing Zone accelerator, DynamoDB, KMS
- Familiarity with AWS security best practices and services such as KMS, Secrets Manager, and AWS Security Hub.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience supporting Iceberg, RedShift, and/or Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in a cloud environment.
