Certified Workday Data Conversion Lead / Manager

We are seeking a Workday Data Conversion Lead to oversee and execute the data migration for Workday implementations. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of data transformation, validation, and loading into Workday across HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials domains. The ideal candidate is Workday Data Conversion Certified, highly analytical, and has experience leading complex data conversion efforts as part of a consulting team. This is a client-facing consulting role supporting enterprise Workday deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end data conversion process from legacy ERP systems into Workday.
• Manage all phases of data conversion, including data mapping, extraction, transformation logic, load preparation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Work with functional leads and client stakeholders to define data scope, templates, and source-to-target mapping rules.
• Collaborate with client-side technical teams to ensure timely and accurate data extracts from source systems.
• Perform test loads and mock conversions in non-production tenants and support multiple test cycles (e.g., unit, parallel, UAT).
• Identify, track, and resolve data quality issues, conversion errors, and load failures.
• Support cutover planning and go-live data readiness activities.
• Develop data conversion documentation, including mapping specs, validation rules, and sign-off packages.
• Mentor junior data conversion consultants on tools, methodology, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Current Workday Data Conversion Certification (required).
• 5+ years of data migration or data integration experience, with 2+ years of hands-on Workday data conversion.
• Strong command of Workday EIBs, data loading tools, iLoads, and XML templates.
• Experience in at least two full Workday deployments as the data lead or senior data consultant.
• Expertise in one or more Workday functional areas: HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials, or SCM.
• Strong SQL, Excel, and data transformation skills; experience with data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment.
• Prior experience in healthcare.
• Understanding of Workday security and data privacy considerations in regulated industries.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics or third-party ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Informatica).
• Ability to lead or contribute to the data governance strategy for long-term operational success.
