Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Analytics & Reporting Lead to head a small but impactful analytics team focused on both customer-facing and internal business reporting across Air, Ocean, and Conventional Customs Brokerage operations. This role requires a proven leader who can drive transformation building robust analytics and performance management capabilities from the ground up while sunsetting legacy systems and outdated reporting tools.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable engaging with senior leadership, operations, and technical teams, bringing clarity to freight forwarding data, KPIs, and performance metrics that enable smarter business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage an analytics and reporting team supporting air, ocean, and customs brokerage functions.
Design and implement modern performance management systems, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
Drive the transition away from legacy systems and manual processes to modern data platforms and reporting tools.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify, develop, and track meaningful KPIs.
Translate complex freight and brokerage data into actionable insights for all levels of the organization.
Champion a data-driven culture across departments, promoting consistent and accurate use of data for decision-making.
Work with IT and BI teams to design and validate data models, queries, and analytics pipelines using tools like SQL.
Provide both technical guidance and business context to ensure analytics solutions deliver measurable value.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, or performance management, ideally within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Proven leadership experience building or transforming reporting capabilities in a complex, global environment.
Deep understanding of freight data, customs brokerage processes, and related KPIs.
Strong technical acumen, including SQL proficiency and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with executive leadership, operations, and technical teams.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into business strategy and operational improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience integrating analytics tools with CargoWise or other freight forwarding systems.
Background in data governance, quality control, or transformation projects in logistics.
Familiarity with modern data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, etc.) is a plus.
