Senior Project Manager -PMP-Medicaid

Job Requirements: This assignment requires proven, hands-on experience applying project management best practices to lead high-profile public sector SaaS low-code platform implementation projects, ideally within State of California government agencies. Also a need for demonstrated experience advancing Organizational Change Management (OCM) to build project buy-in and consensus around the project business case and the solution alternative.
Key Responsibilities:
•Join the in-progress solution selection and procurement process and coordinate itscompletion.
•Apply sound, senior-level project management leadership based on best practices in allproject phases.
•Collaborate with internal DHMC program team, IT team, and solution provider(s) to leadplanning and execution of all aspects of the CalMaCCS SaaS low-code solutionimplementation project.
•Perform project management duties within a hybrid agile project execution framework.
•Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring tasks, timelines, milestones, anddependencies are properly managed.
•Identify, monitor and report on project, budget, scope, risks, issues, action items, andchanges, performing escalations when necessary.
•Produce timely and accurate meeting notes/minutes, status updates, and stakeholdercommunications in alignment with client requirements.
•Develop and deliver effective project-related presentations and briefings in a group setting.
•Organize storage and distribution of project deliverables and other artifacts.
•Plan and execute OCM activities that foster stakeholder awareness, buy-in and team unity.

Senior Project Manager Minimum Qualifications:
•4 years (within the last 10 years) experience providing project management services in alead capacity on a large-scale (at least $10M total budget) IT project for a State of CaliforniaAgency or Department.
•A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project ManagementInstitute (PMI), or equivalent.
•2 years of experience functioning as a Project Manager on a SaaS low-code solutionimplementation project (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar).
•1 year of experience applying Organizational Change Management (OCM) principles on anIT implementation project.
•Demonstrated experience managing projects in waterfall, agile, and hybrid environments.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication with ability to tailor messaging to differentorganizational levels.
•Strong listening and note taking skills. Ability to process and assimilate large amounts ofinformation from multiple sources.
•Spirit of collaboration and ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
•Ability to thrive in dynamic environment with flexibility to cheerfully adapt to unplannedchanges. General willingness to “jump in and help where needed”.
Other Desirable Qualifications:
•Familiarity with State of CA Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) - helpful but not required.
•Experience leading projects that utilize Salesforce and/or Microsoft Power Platform as asignificant solution component.
