Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Type: Full-time (Hourly paid)
Travel Required: Yes, between sites (with company vehicle)
Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to service and maintain various commercial properties. This role involves performing preventive and demand maintenance, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring building systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist in planning special projects, budgeting, and training team members.
  • Respond to and resolve tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and property grounds.
  • Operate and monitor Fire/Life Safety systems.
  • Support complex mechanical and control systems work across multiple sites.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial building maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work from ladders or in various weather conditions.
  • Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Universal CFC, SMA, SMT, LEED (or similar).
  • Experience in healthcare facility maintenance.
  • Familiarity with building automation and control systems.
