We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Architect to join our dynamic team within the ECS Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and securing enterprise environments across cloud and on-prem platforms. This role involves architecting cybersecurity solutions that enhance threat detection, incident response, and overall resilience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded across all systems and services.

Cyber Architect - Responsibilities
  • Security Architecture & Strategy
    • Define and manage remediation plans across applications, infrastructure, and cloud.
    • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Assess and mitigate risks in legacy systems, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management
    • Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities with cross-functional teams.
    • Develop remediation strategies by risk level and guide teams on secure practices.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Lead code, patch, and infrastructure hardening activities.
    • Ensure all updates are tested, validated, and security-compliant.
    • Provide escalation support for complex or high-risk issues.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Track and report remediation progress to leadership.
    • Enforce change management, data protection, and approved tool usage policies.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Maintain technical documentation and risk summaries.
    • Mentor teams on secure design, remediation, and best practices.

    • Identify and communicate security risks, gaps, and dependencies.

Salary Range: $72.00 - $96.15/hr.

Required Skills

  • Cybersecurity Architecture: Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Vulnerability Management: Experience prioritizing and remediating vulnerabilities across hybrid environments.
  • Cloud Security: Deep knowledge of securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
  • Secure Development Practices: Familiarity with secure coding, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Automation: Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for security automation or remediation.
  • Tooling Expertise: Familiarity with Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7 for vulnerability scanning.
  • Container Security: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container hardening practices.
  • Threat Modeling: Ability to identify architectural risks and define mitigation strategies.
  • Mentorship: Proven experience guiding teams in secure design and engineering practices.
  • US Security Clearance Eligibility: Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
