What does this role look like?

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Metrics Team Lead to join the Engineering Performance Technical Metrics team.

As Engineering Metrics Team Lead, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing technical metrics to measure product maturity and program performance. You will provide technical leadership to the engineering metrics team and work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate independent product maturity assessments, collect and analyze program technical metrics. You will provide data-driven insights to Executive Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day to day technical leadership to the Engineering Metrics team.
Develop, maintain, and improve technical metrics to measure product maturity and technical performance
Conduct root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Design and implement data visualizations to effectively communicate complex technical metrics to stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate independent product maturity assessments and collect technical metrics
Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights; provide recommendations to Executive Leadership
Develop and maintain data pipeline processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility
Communicate technical metrics and analytical results through clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics)

Prior engineering experience in systems, hardware, and/or software disciplines

Experience in developing technical metrics, performing data analysis, and creating data visualizations

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions

Experience presenting to and working with an executive audience

Prior technical or team leadership across peer groups.

Desired skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders including executive leadership

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Demonstrated experience in producing clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive audiences

Deep knowledge of Lockheed Martin engineering data, including sources, structures, and systems

Experience with Lockheed Martin engineering processes, including engineering product and drawing release

Experience with EPDM (Enterprise Product Data Management)

Experience as a CAM (Control Account Manager)

Experience in data pipeline management, including data warehousing and data governance

Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and executive leadership

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
