Job Title: IT M&A Program Manager Software Products
Location: Palo Alto, CA - Hybrid (3 days a week)

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced IT M&A Program Manager to lead the technology strategy and execution for software-focused mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This is a high-impact role responsible for the entire IT M&A lifecycle-from technical due diligence through integration planning and go-live to post-merger optimization.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Corporate Development, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of software products and platforms that align with our broader business and product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Due Diligence: Evaluate the target company's software architecture, tech stack, cloud infra, data models, security, IP, and dev practices.
- Integration Strategy & Planning: Design detailed integration roadmaps, including code merges, API & data integration, toolchain alignment, and platform consolidation.
- Runbook Management: Build and maintain a scalable IT M&A runbook tailored for software product environments.
- Execution & Coordination: Lead end-to-end integration efforts with internal/external teams and vendors across development, QA, infrastructure, and IT operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with executives and cross-functional leaders to report progress, mitigate risks, and align on integration outcomes.
- Post-Merger Optimization: Drive ongoing improvements, tech stack rationalization, shared service opportunities, and development process enhancements.
- Technical Risk Management: Identify, assess, and address integration risks and technical debt.
- Budget & Resources: Oversee technical resource planning and integration budgets to balance speed and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT/technical program management with a strong background in software product companies.
- Proven experience leading IT M&A due diligence and integration (preferably in software/SaaS).
- Deep technical knowledge of software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), APIs, development frameworks, DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with product engineering teams and managing cross-functional dependencies.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree (MS/MBA) or certifications (PMP, PgMP).
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms and using tools like Jira.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, IP, and data privacy regulations related to software products.
