Position: SAP SD Consultant
Location: New Jersey (Onsite)
Open only for Independent contractor
SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Job Description (JD) involves managing, configuring, and supporting the SAP SD module to handle sales, pricing, billing, and shipping processes. Key responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, customizing the system, ensuring seamless integration with other modules (like MM and FI), training end-users, and troubleshooting issues. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and ensure business objectives are met through the SAP system.
Core responsibilities
- System configuration: Design, configure, and customize SAP SD modules, including sales order processing, pricing, billing, and shipping.
- Business analysis: Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the SAP system.
- Integration: Ensure the SAP SD module is seamlessly integrated with other SAP modules, such as Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and Finance (FI).
- Support and training: Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions on SAP SD functionalities.
- Project management: Participate in the full implementation lifecycle, including blueprinting, design, testing, and deployment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the SAP SD module and projects.
- Process optimization: Identify and implement improvements to optimize sales and distribution processes for better efficiency.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience with SAP SD module configuration and implementation.
- Familiarity with key SAP SD processes: order management, pricing, billing, and shipping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data migration and user training.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is often a plus.
