Experienced Desktop Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365, and enterprise desktop environments. Skilled in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure, automating deployments, and optimizing performance. Proven track record in leading technical initiatives, mentoring team members, and aligning IT strategies with business goals.

Core Responsibilities & Achievements

  • Azure & AVD Architecture: Led the design and deployment of Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Implemented advanced monitoring and logging solutions to assess system performance and enhance end-user experience.
  • Application & Image Management: Governed deployment processes for desktop images and application packages, ensuring security compliance and compatibility.
  • Cost Optimization: Conducted cost-benefit and ROI analyses; identified savings through vendor engagement, usage monitoring, and industry research.
  • Cloud Product Oversight: Managed Microsoft licensing and M365 products including Intune, SharePoint Online, Exchange, and OneDrive.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Designed and deployed automation using PowerShell and Ansible to streamline desktop operations and reduce risk.
  • Project Leadership: Oversaw technical aspects of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. Mentored engineers and reviewed deliverables.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
