What You'll Do:

As a Qualification Lab Engineering Intern at Marmon Electrical, you'll gain hands-on experience in our R&D lab, supporting the testing and qualification of wire and cable products. You'll conduct experiments, analyze data, and ensure products meet industry standards, all while collaborating with experienced engineers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop technical skills, improve testing methods, and contribute to real-world product development, setting the stage for your future career in engineering.

What You'll Need:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field preferred).
• Basic understanding of lab safety protocols and general lab procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data collection, testing, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (preferred but not required).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting results clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data recording and reporting.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Compensation:

• $22.00-$27.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background

Work Hours/Length of Program:

• The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August
• Temporary Part/Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week
• Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business
• This is a paid internship

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and involves working in a manufacturing environment/general exposure to a manufacturing environment. The environment may involve exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, or other factors. Employees are required to abide by PPE guidelines when onsite.

• Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role
• This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
• Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• May involve moving or lifting items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a manufacturing setting
