Overview

Mako's Utilities client is seeking an Automation & AI Integration Engineer to identify and implement responsible automation opportunities across the enterprise. This role will focus on replacing legacy manual processes with use-case-driven automation while ensuring governance, reliability, and operational value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify automation opportunities across IT and operational environments

  • Design and build automation scripts and workflows aligned to real use cases

  • Implement self-healing and auto-remediation capabilities

  • Partner with SRE, ServiceNow, and observability teams to operationalize automation

  • Ensure automation initiatives align with governance and risk standards

  • Support continuous operations and autonomous infrastructure initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience designing and implementing automation in enterprise environments

  • Understanding of responsible AI and governance considerations

  • Ability to translate operational pain points into automation solutions

  • Strong collaboration skills across infrastructure and operations teams

Nice to Have
  • Chatbot, predictive remediation, or AI-assisted operations experience

  • Utilities, OT, or critical infrastructure exposure

  • Scripting or automation framework experience
