Description:
**Hybrid Remote | 2 weeks per month in Westlake, TX**

This position is part of a team dedicated to using emerging technologies to create innovative products and services that improve people's financial lives. As the innovation engine for the organization, we provide expertise on new tools and techniques while also incubating potential new lines of business. This role will support a startup investing app. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with diverse teams across product, growth, service, and leadership to devise measurement strategies and deliver insights from diverse data sets.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay: $65 - $70/hr W2

Responsibilities:
  • Growing our agile development culture through excellent engineering skills and a deep knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Leading with strong engineering best practices in design patterns, leveraging CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and application performance.
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain test cases for your application.
  • Ability to investigate, isolate, and resolve technical issues across the full technology stack using automated and manual testing methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in scripting languages for automation.
  • Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
  • Superb communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple teams across the organization.


Experience Requirements:
  • Expertise in C++ coupled with AWS, Kubernetes (or other containerization products like Docker), Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.
  • 10+ years of professional C++ development experience, with at least 3+ years on UNIX systems.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability.
  • Deep knowledge of C++ with the latest standards, UNIX OS internals, CPU architecture, and networking hardware and protocols.
  • Obsession with creating the best end-to-end experience.
  • Personal accountability for delivering strong results.
  • Passion for Test Driven Development, developing robust software, and writing testable and maintainable code.
  • Passionate and results-oriented technical leader.
  • Keen interest in learning new technologies and their adoption.
  • Working knowledge of Golang and kdb+/q is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of the equities electronic trading business, with previous experience in Smart Order Router, Market Data, or Order Management Systems development being desirable but not required.


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
