What are the MUST-HAVE technologies for this position?
1. Technologies impacted by project(s) can & will vary. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience managing IT/technology-focused projects and,
2. Ability to get up to speed and gain a base understanding/knowledge of impacted technologies for a project quickly to manage project team and deliverables efficiently
3. Microsoft Office suite, including Sharepoint

This job is responsible for managing and coordinating IT based projects via the creation of and adherence to a project plan. Responsible for developing project plans, monitoring progress and ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. Responsible for coordinating and managing project resources and activities as well as communicating status with most stake holders, sponsors, and customers. The project manager operates within defined parameters using a proven project management methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals. The Project Manager is the primary point of accountability for the execution and implementation of the project.
Responsibilities:
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope (55%)
o Creates and executes project work plans / task lists and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
o Manages project budget with guidance and direction
o Keeps project team well informed of changes
o Identifies project risk(s) and maintains a mitigation plan
o Escalates critical issues for appropriate/timely resolution as needed
o Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
o Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
o Creates implementation schedules, coordinates and facilitates project production moves
Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project process and standards. (15%)
o Ensures project plans are updated and accurate
o Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
o Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis
o Reforecast project estimates on a monthly basis
o Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
o Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
o Ensures that projects are closed appropriately with all required artifacts
Facilitates team and customer meetings and communicates effectively. (15%)
o Engages customer relationship manager(s) when appropriate
o Holds regular status meetings with project team
Generates and champions new ideas and initiatives; goes beyond status quo; acts as a catalyst of change by presenting a persuasive case for changing processes and practices; is resourceful, creative and open-minded in developing solutions. (5%)
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Sciences or Associates degree in related field preferred
5+ years of business experience
Ability to stay current in technologies/best practices and ability to apply that knowledge to day to day activities
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Strong ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization including senior leadership. Key attribute - to work well with individuals in all levels of the organization
