Job Title - Project Controls Analyst (Primavera P6)
Location - Reno NV
Length - Contract (9 Months+)
Job Description:
- Establishes and develops detailed design, development, and construction project schedules and integrates them into a master schedule.
- Prepares and maintains project reports which may include schedule summaries, performance measurement, cash flows and status updates.
- Performs other project cost and pricing analysis and customer agreement pricing analysis as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains project data systems by assigning budget, project manager and all related project information.
- Project data systems will include both capital and operating data systems.
- Coordinates with managers to ensure that all project information is organized accurately within the system, including correction to priority, level, description, and status.
- Provides assistance and training to system users as needed.
- Maintains financial controls and document controls to ensure a high degree of quality and accuracy in project cost allocations.
- Facilitates and enhances project controls to support stakeholder departments such as Finance, Tax, Asset Accounting, etc.
- Initiates and maintains project information within the ERP system.
- Loads project estimates in support of project closeout procedures.
- Provides project audit summary reports for project manager review, close-out documentation and data requests.
- Creates queries and reports as needed.
- Participates in monthly project data systems meetings; assists with the development and testing of systems enhancements; provides documentation of new procedures related to enhancements for other system users.
- Produces status reports to update progress on all project schedules, supports end user inquiries, and performs data verification for projects in development and under construction.
- Produces operating status reports to update operating and maintenance costs for projects in service.
- Creates monthly reports and facilitates meetings with functional group leaders and project managers to review project progress; modifies schedule and project data systems information as needed. Creates other periodic reports for projects as required.
- Assists with regulatory activities by collecting project data and compiling supporting documentation. Research budget approvals made by the public utilities commission to perform variance analysis on actual expenditures.
- Supports and coordinates internal and external audits of capital and operating costs.
- Supports project cost analysis and customer agreement pricing analysis as needed.
- Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Degree in relevant field and solid experience with Primavera required.
