Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance and service on automated pharmacy equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using technical drawings and schematics.
- Diagnose and repair faulty electrical components (motors, controllers, circuit boards, power supplies, IO modules).
- Repair and maintain mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, robots, pneumatic components).
- Execute equipment modifications and upgrades; help manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure reliability of automation equipment through preventive, corrective, and emergency work orders.
- Monitor system performance with inspections, diagnostic tools, and monitoring equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - MAXIMO).
- Complete required training for compliance and skill development.
- Occasionally travel to other sites or vendor locations for training.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems (including use of meters).
- Experience with motors, motor controllers, and variable frequency drives.
- Ability to repair, set up, and tune complex mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics.
- Skilled use of tools and adherence to repair procedures for precision electro-mechanical machinery.
- Practical knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and CMMS.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and a rotating shift schedule.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
Shift Schedule
- 2-week rotation:
- Week 1: Mon/Tues/Fri 5AM-5PM; Sat 5AM-3:30PM (46 hours)
- Week 2: Sun 5AM-3:30PM; Wed/Thurs 5AM-5PM (34 hours)
