| Key Responsibilities |
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances in production, staging, and development environments
- Perform database tuning, query optimization, and performance monitoring to ensure optimal operation
- Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning and execution
- Monitor database security, implement user permissions, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Automate routine tasks and database maintenance jobs using scripting and scheduling tools
- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and system administrators to resolve database-related issues
- Work with Linux-based servers and perform integration of SQL Server with Linux systems where applicable
- Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime
- Implement and maintain high-availability solutions such as clustering, Always On Availability Groups, or replication
- Maintain documentation related to database architecture, configurations, and processes

| Required Qualifications |
- 8+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in complex, enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server versions (2012, 2016, 2019, or later)
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and command-line administration
- Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting SQL Server issues
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash scripting, or similar
- Knowledge of database security best practices and user management
- Experience working in an onsite role with clients and cross-functional teams
