Job Description:

Pay Range: $17hr - $26hr
  • The Shuttle Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting passengers safely, courteously, and professionally to and from designated destinations.
  • The driver will follow established routes, maintain proper documentation, and ensure vehicle and passenger safety while adhering to company and regulatory policies.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers en route to/from destinations.
  • Follow established routes and departure times; communicate with dispatch for detour guidance.
  • Operate vehicles according to Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program and federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain accurate logs of passenger counts, trips, mileage, vehicle inspections, and other required information.
  • Ensure adherence to passenger limits (seated and standing).
  • Assist passengers with disabilities and others needing help with boarding and disembarking using the wheelchair lift.
  • Report emergencies or concerns with the vehicle or passengers to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and standards.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (experience may be accepted in lieu of education).
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and airbrakes.
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical card from Occupational Health.
  • MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report (MGB Internal).
  • Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver.
Skills:
  • Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate safely in varying road and weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
