Job Details
Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6+ months
Pay rate range: $35- $40/hr. W2, benefits
Job Description:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance including calibration/testing, and repair of equipment. Must have an understanding of mechanical and electrical principles- should be able to read and understand basic blueprints/schematics. Additionally, they will need to work/support cross functional team.
Will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. Cleanroom experience is required.
Specific tasks that an equipment technician may be responsible for:
- Installing new equipment, maintaining, and repairing equipment
- Move benchtop equipment(~50-75lbs)
- Connect CDA, N2 and O2 lines and exhaust vents
- Connecting high electrical power cord
- Equipment maintenance
- Work with vendors to calibrate, troubleshoot/repair equipment
- Calibrating and testing equipment
- Preparing and submitting reports. Keeping records of equipment maintenance
- Support, build prototypes and working with engineers to resolve problems
- Debug issues relating to hardware, test set-up, firmware, and software
- Install, test, repair, and validation of new and existing hardware
- Assist with building custom testing fixtures/enclosures
- Perform metrology measurements on optical elements
- Collect and maintain test data
