Job Title: Mainframe IMS DB Developer
Location: Plano, TX OR Wilmington, DE (5 Days Onsite)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract or Full-Time
Contract Rate: $50-55/hr (C2C)
Full-Time Salary: $120K $125K + Benefits
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe IMS DB Developer with strong hands-on experience in IMS DB, CICS, and Assembler programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and secure mainframe solutions while ensuring optimal performance and scalability in a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure mainframe applications using IMS DB, CICS, and Assembler.
Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
Develop detailed technical design documents and maintain development standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability using best practices and code review.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
Participate in Agile development cycles and CI/CD processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience in:
Mainframe Assembler programming
IMS DB and CICS (Recent Projects)
DB2 and JCL
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience debugging and optimizing mainframe applications in enterprise environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Proficient in using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, and Ansible.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
Prior experience in a financial services or banking environment is a plus.
