As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the COMMERCIAL & INVESTMENT BANK - PAYMENTS TECHNOLOGY, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Designs, develops, and maintains secure and scalable applications and infrastructure with a focus on IAM solutions.
- Leads the application onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of new applications.
- Implements and manages cloud-based solutions to enhance scalability and performance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on IAM solutions.
- Proven experience in application onboarding and integration.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, Java Full stack.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
- Strong understanding of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
- Certification in IAM or related security fields.
- Experience in agile development methodologies
