Job Details

$85 - $100/hr is dependent on Experience and Employment Type (W2, 1099, C2C)

You MUST have your PMP AND one of the following: FLMI, ACS 100, and/or AIA 200

American Computer Services Inc. is hiring a Senior Project Manager who can drive large, complex projects and has a knack for digging into project scope and identifying initial tasks to organize a project team quickly.

 

Your KEY Experience Includes:

  • 8+ years of experience in project life cycle and project management methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex IT projects with impact across multiple units.
  • Experience driving projects, taking initiative, and managing overall project direction from analysis through implementation.
  • Experience designing and implementing cost-effective and efficient project organizational structures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with business management.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Team Organization

  • Develop comprehensive project charters, scopes, schedules, budgets, and plans to establish a clear project framework.
  • Analyze project scope to identify initial tasks and efficiently organize project teams for rapid project initiation.
  • Assemble project teams, assign tasks, and identify resource requirements to ensure proper support and alignment.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide front-line leadership to associates, project teams, and functional managers, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Instruct, direct, and review the work of team members to maintain high-quality deliverables and project progress.
  • Promote a positive team environment through exceptional interpersonal, team-building, and leadership skills.

Project Monitoring and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and resource commitments, making adjustments as needed.
  • Deliver regular status reports, project plans, budgets, and other documentation to management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
  • Conduct team meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders, maintaining open and consistent communication channels.

Risk, Issue, and Vendor Management

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and issues, using a positive and proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to align their contributions with project goals and timelines.
  • Direct problem resolution across all project phases, ensuring effective negotiation and stakeholder engagement to meet objectives.

  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
  • Strong time management and project planning/strategizing skills.
  • Proven negotiation and interviewing skills to effectively engage stakeholders.

Education/Certifications/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in a business-related field or equivalent training/experience required.
  • Project Management certification (PMP).
  • FLMI, ACS 100, or AIA 200 certification(s) preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership of projects of varying sizes.
  • Proven experience in utilizing planning/organization skills and techniques to deliver results.
