Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Hydraulic Equipment Engineer to join our group. This role will serve as the technical expert for hydraulic press systems, focusing on troubleshooting issues and optimizing press performance. The successful candidate will lead efforts to improve operations by minimizing downtime and enhancing cycle efficiency. This role will oversee and implement equipment modifications to achieve these objectives, from concept through installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage hydraulic press manufacturing projects to enhance press efficiency, scalability, and reliability from concept through installation and commissioning
  • Monitor and optimize hydraulic press performance, minimizing downtime and improving cycle times
  • Analyze production metrics and data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for long-term performance improvements
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and tooling
  • Collaborate with press manufacturer technical teams for advanced troubleshooting and equipment upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all project activities
  • Provide technical support and resources for all press-related activities, including developing and implementing training programs for engineers, operators, and technicians

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years directly designing hydraulic presses and their subcomponents
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment gaining hands-on experience with hydraulic presses
  • Ability to select and, if needed, create fabrication drawings for hydraulic press components (blocks, valves, hoses, etc.)
  • Expertise in hydraulic fluid power systems, including design principles and troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and resolving press-related issues
  • Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the specific ability to write at a professional and technical level
  • Organized and detail-oriented
