Job Details

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Storage Administrator with a strong emphasis on NetApp storage systems to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise storage environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity. This role will primarily focus on NetApp storage solutions (90%) with some exposure to other storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and support NetApp ONTAP storage systems (AFF, FAS, and/or Cloud Volumes).

  • Perform routine storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

  • Manage data protection strategies including SnapMirror, SnapVault, and Snapshot technologies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and service requests.

  • Lead and participate in storage infrastructure projects, including planning, deployment, migration, and upgrades.

  • Collaborate with backup, virtualization, and network teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.

  • Maintain storage documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and inventory.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

  • Assist in storage lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.

  • Provide on-call support as part of a rotating schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 5 years of experience in enterprise storage administration.

  • Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP, including CLI and System Manager.

  • Proficiency in storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and FCP.

  • Familiarity with NetApp Active IQ, Cloud Insights, or other monitoring tools.

  • Experience with storage integration in VMware, Windows, and Linux environments.

  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible or Shell) for automation tasks.

  • Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NetApp certifications (e.g., NCDA, NCIE) are a plus.

  • Familiarity with VMware and its integration with NetApp storage.

  • VMware Certifications are a plus.

  • Exposure to other storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE).

  • Experience with hybrid cloud storage or cloud-native NetApp solutions (e.g., Cloud Volumes ONTAP).

  • Knowledge of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup).

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Network, at least Layer2 network are preferred.
