Senior Azure Linux Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Azure Linux Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be focused on managing and optimizing Linux-based systems within the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and have a strong background in Azure and Linux, combined with hands-on experience in infrastructure, Azure portal. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a production environment, take ownership of tasks, and work cross-functionally to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  
• Configure and maintain Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, Red hat) to support infrastructure requirements.
  
• Optimize Linux systems, including system configurations, security hardening, and performance tuning.
  
• Manage basic Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks, Subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
  
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to minimize downtime in production environments.
  
• Create and Manage Azure PAAS SQL DB.
  
• Create and manage Azure CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams taking ownership of assigned tasks to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality project delivery.
  

Qualifications:

• Strong Azure background: In-depth experience with Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, etc.) and automation in Azure environments.
  
• Strong Linux background: Hands-on experience in administering and optimizing Linux workloads in Azure.
  
• Strong infrastructure background: Proven ability to manage cloud infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and monitoring.
  
• Basic Azure networking knowledge: Understanding of Azure Virtual Networks, Subnets, and firewalls for securing cloud services.
  
• Driven and independent: Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results.
  
• Passionate and results-oriented: Passion for Azure and cloud technologies, with a focus on achieving impactful outcomes.
  
• Cross-team communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with different teams.

  • Azure administrator associate (Az - 104)
    
  • Redhat Certified system administrator
    
  • Linux Professional Institute certification (LPIC) - 1
    
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
  

The base salary range for this position is $92,250 - $144,964, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
