As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in digital forensics, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge forensic software solutions for our government clients. You will lead the architecture and development of complex tools capable of processing and analyzing petabytes of digital evidence, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will lead the architecture and development of complex tools capable of processing and analyzing petabytes of digital evidence, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex forensic software solutions.
- Develop and maintain forensic software using .NET programming languages and thin client front-end technologies.
- Process and analyze petabytes of digital evidence from various sources.
- Ensure compliance with forensic standards, protocols, and legal/regulatory requirements for digital evidence handling.
- Deliver forensic software deployed in the commercial cloud, capable of distributed processing.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams spanning software development, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
- Develop and execute project plans, managing resources and timelines effectively.
- Set a vision for forensic toolkit development, aligning with organizational mission and goals.
- Articulate complex technical issues to diverse audiences, including law enforcement, analysts, and government officials.
Required Experience/Clearance
- Extensive experience in software development with a specialization in digital forensics and forensic tool development.
- Expert knowledge of forensic analysis techniques, file systems, data recovery, and evidence handling best practices.
- Proficiency in .NET programming languages and thin client front-end technologies.
- Extensive experience delivering forensic software deployed in commercial cloud environments and capable of distributed processing.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing projects.
- Proven ability to set a vision and align development efforts with organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Desired Experience
- Experience with DataBricks, GitLab, and Jira.
- Familiarity with Spark.
- Relevant certifications in technical architecture, software development, or forensics.
- Experience working with specific forensic tools and technologies.
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks.
